Process an Application with ebs
You can initiate the application process in ebs, which is submitted to Dynamics 365, then converted to an enrolment in ebs: central and Dynamics 365.
The following diagram illustrates the interaction between ebs and Dynamics 365 for an application initiated in ebs.
To process an application with ebs:
-
Create the learner application in ebs.
The application is submitted to Dynamics 365 by the relevant workflow hook.
The application is received by Dynamics 365, initiating a verification process to establish whether a pre-existing record is stored.
Note: Where no record exists a learner and application record is created. An application is created for an existing learner record.
-
Select Students from the Customer section of the left-hand menu to view the relevant record in Dynamics 365.
The Contact screen is displayed.
-
Open the relevant learner record using the Learner Search in ebs: central.
-
Click the Enquires and Applications tab.
The Enquiries and Applications module is displayed.
-
Convert the relevant application to an enrolment.
Note: Refer to Convert Applications to Enrolments for further information.
The relevant workflow hook submits the enrolment to Dynamics 365.
-
Select Enrolments from the Customer section of the left-hand menu to view the relevant enrolment in Dynamics 365.
Note: The relevant workflow hook will submit further data to Dynamics 365 in the event of an update to the learner's record or application.
